Steven L. Cantor

Steven L. Cantor is the managing partner of Cantor & Webb P.A. Mr. Cantor received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972, a Juris Doctor with honors from George Washington University School of Law in 1975 while serving as a Senior Associate on the George Washington Law Review, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1976. He also spent a semester of college studying in London, England.

Mr. Cantor is the recipient of the 2011 STEP Founder’s Award for Outstanding Achievement. He has served as Chairman of the Miami Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) based in London, England and also as a member of the STEP Worldwide Council. He was a founding member of the Steering Committee of the Annual STEP Caribbean Conference. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (known by its acronym in French as “FIABCI”) and was one of the original founders of the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) program now operated by the National Association of Realtors®. He is a recipient of the CIPS designation and the FIABCI International Property Consultant (FIPC) designation.

For over 25 years Mr. Cantor has lectured and has written extensively on international tax and international estate planning as well as structuring foreign investment in United States real estate. He is a member of the Tax and International Sections of the Florida Bar and the Tax, International and Real Property, Probate and Trust Sections of the American Bar Association. He is also a member of TIGER 21, the premier peer-to-peer learning network for high net worth investors, and a member of the Geneva Group International (GGI), a leading worldwide alliance of well-established and experienced accounting, consulting and law firms, where he serves as Global Chairman of the Trust and Estate Planning Practice Group.

Born in Riverhead, New York and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, Mr. Cantor was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1975, the District of Columbia Bar and the United States Tax Court in 1977, and the New York Bar in 2005. Mr. Cantor has for over 20 years maintained the highest “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers, Top Lawyers in South Florida Legal Guide and Citywealth Magazine Top 100 Wealth Advisors.
