IRS Voluntary Disclosures

The Internal Revenue Service offers a voluntary disclosure program which allows taxpayers who are not compliant with their United States income tax and reporting obligations to voluntarily come forward and disclose such noncompliance to the Internal Revenue Service. Combating offshore tax evasion has become a major priority for the Internal Revenue Service, which is targeting both individuals and institutions in its effort to bring United States taxpayers into compliance.
